Headquarters or Quarters Cast Wheel
Reported by Ann Williams 2005
Yesterday, browsing through a book of old photographs of the Cotswolds in a bookshop, we found a photo of Cirencester High Street and the Fleece Hotel had a cast iron style CTC symbol with something above - presumably Headquarters as a hotel was unlikely as a repairers one would imagine. We have no idea if it is still there or not, however.
2005 - The contemporary picture shows no sign.
1898 - With thanks to the Francis Frith Collection
